YOUR INFORMATION & RIGHTS

Privacy policy.

How we handle website enquiries, the services involved and your privacy choices.

Who we are and what this policy covers

Dr Posture Chiropractic is operated by Dr Posture® Pty Ltd (ABN 78 639 379 383). This policy explains information handling for this website and general enquiries to the clinic, including the homepage contact form.

This is a website and enquiries policy, not a complete patient-records notice. Appointment records, examination findings, referrals and clinical notes involve additional handling arrangements. Ask the clinic for the privacy information that applies to your care before providing those records. Being located inside Health Hub Doctors does not itself mean that all services share access to your information.

What we collect and why

The enquiry form requires your name, email address and message. A phone number is optional. We use these details to respond, clarify your request and manage the related correspondence. Without the required fields, the form cannot send your enquiry; you can contact us by phone instead.

Information comes directly from you, or from a person authorised to enquire for you. Please provide only the information needed for the enquiry. Do not include medical histories, scans, Medicare or DVA numbers, payment details, identity documents or another person’s health information in the form, ordinary email or SMS. Contact the clinic to arrange an appropriate way to provide clinical information.

You may make a general enquiry without identifying yourself, or use a pseudonym where practicable. We may need to confirm your identity to discuss an appointment, access a record or provide care.

Hosting and form providers may also collect technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, access times and security or usage logs when their services load. The cookies and providers section below explains the choices available to you.

Enquiry handling and sharing

Form submissions are stored in the clinic’s Wix account. Your name and email may also create or update a Wix contact. The form is configured to notify info@drposture.com.au, so enquiry information may also be held in the clinic’s email service. Authorised clinic personnel and the service providers supporting these systems may handle it for the enquiry, administration, support and security.

Sending an enquiry is not an opt-in to a marketing mailing list and does not give consent to treatment. If we ask for permission for a separate optional use, you can decline or later contact us to withdraw that permission. This does not reverse handling already completed or remove records that must be retained.

We may disclose information with your authorisation, when reasonably needed to handle your request, or where required or permitted by law. We do not use this general-enquiry form to seek consent to share clinical records between health services.

Cookies, hosting and other providers

This website loads Google Ads, Google Tag Manager and Wix analytics services to help measure website use and advertising performance. These services may collect page visits, device and browser information, IP addresses and cookie or similar identifiers. Google handles this information under its privacy policy. The embedded Wix form connects to Wix when it loads, before you press Send enquiry. Wix, Google Maps and the hosting service may use cookies or similar technologies for their services, security and functionality, and may process technical or usage information under their own policies.

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, although some functions may stop working. If you prefer not to use the embedded form, phone the clinic. Opening the standalone form still connects to Wix. There is no separate clinic marketing-cookie preference stored by this website at present.

  • Wix: provides the enquiry form and contact storage. Read Wix’s privacy policy.
  • HotDoc: booking buttons open the existing external appointment service. Information entered there is handled under HotDoc’s privacy policy and the applicable practice arrangements. This website does not collect payment or booking details through the enquiry form.
  • Website hosting: Wix hosts this website and supports its delivery, security and functionality under Wix’s privacy policy.
  • Google Maps: the map above the footer is embedded from Google and connects to Google when it loads. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and interactions with the map, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its privacy policy. Google may process information outside Australia. This website does not ask for your device location to display the clinic map. Opening directions takes you to Google Maps.
  • Other links: the separate Dr Posture® education website operates under its own notices when you follow its links.

Service providers may store or process information overseas. Wix identifies infrastructure in the United States and Ireland and processing in Israel and other countries through its providers; see the Wix trust centre. Other providers’ locations are described in their policies and may change. Information sent online is not represented as being stored only in Australia. Contact us if you need more information before using an online channel.

Security and retention

Our policy is to take reasonable steps to protect enquiry information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including limiting handling to authorised people and using the access controls available in our systems. No internet or email service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Enquiry information should be retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, administer the matter and meet applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer needed and no retention obligation applies, it should be securely deleted or de-identified. This is not a promise to delete clinical records on request; their retention requirements may differ. You can ask what information is held and request deletion where applicable.

Access, correction and privacy questions

Contact Dr David Shahar using the details below to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about its handling, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the information requested. Please do not email identity documents unless an appropriate process has been arranged.

We aim to respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. If access or correction cannot be provided, we will explain the reason where required and the available complaint options. We will explain any permitted access charge before proceeding; making an access request or asking for a correction does not itself attract a fee.

If your concern is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC generally asks you to complain to the organisation first and allow time for a response. For concerns about a Queensland health service, the Office of the Health Ombudsman also provides a complaint pathway.
