A practical next step.
Eligible patients with a GP care-plan referral are welcome at Dr Posture Chiropractic. Covered chiropractic visits have no out-of-pocket fee at our Morayfield clinic.
Who can use this pathway?
A GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) can support eligible people with ongoing health conditions. Your GP decides whether a plan and referral are appropriate. Having back or neck pain does not automatically qualify you.
You need a valid referral for chiropractic care and funded visits available. You may know this pathway by older names such as an EPC or CDM plan.
Before your appointment.
Talk with your usual GP.
Discuss your condition, needs and goals. Your GP decides whether chiropractic care belongs in your management plan; a referral is not automatic.
Check your referral and remaining visits.
Before booking, tell reception that you plan to use Medicare-funded care. Mention any allied health visits already used this calendar year.
Bring the right information.
Bring your Medicare card, referral, relevant reports and questions. Your appointment with Dr Shahar takes place inside Health Hub Doctors Morayfield.
Questions about funding.
Does Medicare cover every chiropractic appointment?
No. Funding applies only when the Medicare and referral requirements are met. At this clinic, eligible covered visits have no out-of-pocket fee. For appointments outside that arrangement, standard private fees apply.
How many funded appointments can I use?
The usual limit is up to five individual allied health services per calendar year, shared across eligible professions. Higher allowances may apply for eligible Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander patients. Reception can check your entitlement and remaining visits; these are not automatically five extra chiropractic appointments.
Can I still use an older EPC or CDM plan?
Transition rules allow eligible older GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements prepared before 1 July 2025 to support access until 30 June 2027. Bring the documents so your GP and reception can confirm what applies to you.
Do I need to change to a GP at Health Hub Doctors?
You can discuss a referral with your usual GP. Our chiropractic clinic is located inside Health Hub Doctors Morayfield; reception can check an eligible referral from another practice.
